About the G.G.B.A

The GGBA is an instructional league that started in 1988 and we’re starting our 21st season this Fall. The philosophy is to have fun while developing the fundamental skills of basketball. The emphasis is on sportsmanship and team play with the expectation that each girl will give her all, and try her best each week. The season begins in December and ends in March, with practices up to twice a week, with games being played on Saturdays. The GGBA was established as a not for profit organization that is dedicated in developing the skills that are needed, both on and off the basketball court. The Association values team-spirit, skill, tolerance, appreciation of basketball and enjoyment for everybody involved.

The GGBA consists of a Board of Directors to conduct its business. The board, which is comprised of volunteer workers, is elected at a General Meeting before any season is conducted. Anyone interested in contributing to the girls basketball program is always welcome to attend our board meetings. We are always looking for volunteers to help make the basketball experience for our student athletes a continuous success.
